About Yoga-Flow
Yoga-Flow offers gentle hatha,
dynamic vinyasa flow and pregnancy yoga classes tailored
to your individual needs and goals, whether they be to reduce
stress, to learn to relax, weight loss, to detoxify and cleanse,
to improve posture, to tone and strengthen the body or to find
a sense of unity and harmony in our busy lives.
Private one to one classes, as well
as groups or corporate classes can be taken in the comfort of
your own home, workplace or other suitable space of your choice
in the following areas: Weybridge, Cobham, Woking, Guildford,
Ripley, Walton on Thames, Esher and surrounding areas in Surrey.
Small group or one to one classes can also be held in a private
venue in Pyrford. The health and fitness benefits of yoga have
long been reported by practitioners and are now being confirmed
by scientific research.
Yoga-Flow offers yoga classes
designed to invigorate, strengthen and calm the body and mind.
All classes promote wellbeing, balance, (both physical and mental),
flexibility, vitality and stress release. Yoga-Flow will help you
work towards a higher level of health and fitness, a strong,
supple and toned physique, building up your physical endurance,
power and agility, creating increased levels of energy, and
a sense of freedom. Great
attention is given to safety and correct alignment.
All classes are
suitable for beginners to general level.
Hatha
The hatha classes emphasize basic asanas (postures), pranayama
(breathing techniques) and relaxation. Perfect for newcomers
to yoga, those who would like a refresher on the basics or
those who prefer a gentle, slower yoga practice. The classes
are suitable for all ages.
These classes will develop mobility,
flexibility, strength and range of motion in particular in the
spine, shoulder girdle and pelvic girdle. You don't need to
have a flexible body to start with. All you need is to gently
focus on breathing, releasing, opening, and being flexible with
your mind. |
Dynamic/Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa flow yoga, often called dynamic yoga, is a form of
traditional hatha yoga and can be quite vigorous and challenging!
Vinyasa sequences link breath to movement in a continuous
flow of postures which are carefully chosen to detoxify, stretch,
and strengthen the body and build ‘prana’ or life
force energy. This combination of breath, movement, and intense
focus builds an internal heat that heals and revitalizes mind,
body and spirit.
Pregnancy Yoga
Group classes are held in a private venue in Pyrford, and
will always be very small ensuring plenty of individual attention.
Alternatively, private classes can be arranged if you prefer.

Yoga-Flow is run by me, Christina
Jones. I hold the Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Teacher Training qualification, which is recognised internationally, am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) and I am a Level 3 member of the Register of Exercise Professionals.
I trained as a dancer for nearly ten years and initially began practising yoga as a source of relief from lower back pain and anxiety. Upon finding that the first few classes left me feeling like I had never done before, I started to learn more about yoga and attend more classes, and began to realize and benefit from the life enhancing gifts the ancient practice has to offer us. My anxiety became much easier to control, I felt more relaxed from day to day and the niggling lower back pain disappeared. I felt calmer and being someone with a very overactive mind, the fatigue I often experienced as a result of this became a rarity rather than an everyday problem.
I felt happier, healthier and more at one with myself and others. In fact my
life has been so enhanced by yoga that I made the decision to train as a teacher
to be able to share and enjoy the experience with as many people as possible.
I
teach mainly private classes (to individuals, small groups and even husbands
and wives) in the homes of my clients. I also teach at health clubs such as Virgin
Active, Holmes Place, members clubs in west London, spas, and hotels. |
